Filling the Gap through Ministry Mentorship
Pastor Mike Davis has served as Senior Pastor of Calvary Pentecostal Church in Kenora, Ontario, since 2018. He and his church have been praying for the opportunity to invest in the next generation of ministry leaders.
Here’s how that prayer has taken shape.

Pastor Mike Davis
“For the past three years, we have been praying for someone to mentor in ministry, and this past year the Lord brought to our church a young couple and their family who had a desire to be mentored into ministry. We inquired about the possibility of doing bible college training in the local church setting through the Hub program, with the other half in ministry at our local church.
We applied to become an MCS Hub church, and this has worked out to be such a win-win for everyone. Since that time we have taken this student half-time on staff at Calvary, which is working out to be such an answer to prayer.
Support Along the Way
The support we have received from the MCS leadership has been fantastic, with great communication and response to any questions we have had over the past year.
As a Senior Pastor for a number of years, we have seen prospective students go away for training and very few have returned. The Hub gives the student hands-on learning being involved in ministry in our local church while getting their ministry credentials.

For busy pastors, yes, it’s one more thing on your plate, but the flip-side is you can give the student the opportunity to help remove other things off your plate while you mentor the next generation.”
Calvary Pentecostal Church is one of many Church Hubs across Canada, with new locations popping up monthly! This means more Christian leaders are being mobilized to minister, right where they’re at!
Let’s work together to prepare competent leaders for your church, and God’s Kingdom!
With the church, for the church.
